SINOSSI: “Sono stata abbastanza fortunata da crescere vicino al fiume per vivere appieno lo sforzo per il mare. Dall’infanzia, le acque del fiume mi dettero una sensazione di casa, come un sacramento. “My river” è un viaggio lungo le rive della memoria, intuizione e desiderio. Il film è stato creato sotto il simbolo di un fiume della vita reale – Neman, sulle cui rive generazione dopo generazione gli antenati dell’autore sono nati. “Il fiume è una guida, è la ciò che connette la nostra famiglia nel tempo. Toccandolo, tocco il passato, il futuro e sento il presente nella sua pienezza. E noi ci riconosciamo gli uni e gli altri e noi stessi col suo tocco. La mia memoria – la tela del fiume – un elemento omogeneo, infinito nella sua proprietà di un ruscello, un’aspirazione. “My river” è la memoria dell’acqua della terra natia, la memoria del mondo, la memoria del sangue, la memoria dell’aspirazione.” Durante le riprese, Maria ha seguito il corso del fiume Neman, dalla fonte alla foce, nel Mar Baltico.

- 2009/ graduated from the Belarusian State Academy of Art
- Since 2007 focuses on black&white film photography and media art
- Since 2016 is Member of the Belarusian Union of Artists
- 2017/ the photography by Maria was among the 100 best original photographs of the 19th and 21th centuries according to the version of the State Museum and Exhibition Center ROSPHOTO in St. Petersburg, Russia.
- Since 2018 makes short films (camera and director)
- Since 2019 represented by La Galerie Rouge, Paris
- 2020/ nominated for the National Fine Arts Award in Belarus – Art Subsequently, she withdrew her candidacy from the competition as a sign of solidarity with the censored artist and with the victims of the violence of the current government in Belarus.
- 2021/ the recipient of the Gaude Polonia scholarship in Poland Participant of numerous exhibitions and festivals, author of 6 personal exhibition projects. Works are in the collections of museums.
